We are an Anglican church full of ordinary people seeking to follow an extraordinary God. Whether you’ve been a Christian for a long time or have never been to church before, we’d love to meet you and welcome you at any of our services.
St Margaret's is situated amongst trees and gardens in a little piece of God’s creation. We believe that “the Glory of God is the human person fully alive”. As a faith community we are working towards a fully flourishing humanity, alive to beauty, dignity and love.
We pride ourselves on our beautiful grounds and history; While our church services follow the classic Anglican style we enjoy the wonders of modern technology as well. Our church buildings are Air Conditioned, we share our news on our Facebook and website, our Church has wheelchair access.
Join us as we continue our journey growing as a vibrant and committed congregation, reaching out to our community in a number of exciting ways.
We are a thriving community of volunteers and events. That is the way we like it! Every day we have people helping us with small jobs, that help achieve great things locally. We are truly blessed. There are so many chances to serve our community and church. If you are interested in helping out, please let our contact us by phone or email. We are sure we can find a way to use your skills and it will make a difference to use.
2021 marks 143 years of St Margaret's Nerang. Articles relating to the church built as 'St. Margaret's Church of England in Nerang Street, Nerang' date back to 1877. The historical church building became too small for the increasing population and was sold in 1992, the site was also sold. The original heritage listed church building was moved to the Evandale grounds of Gold Coast City Council, restored and is used as a non-denominational chapel for weddings, as a community hall, and evening meetings for non-profit organisations. A new church called 'St Margaret's Anglican Church' was built at 167-169 Beaudesert-Nerang Road, Nerang in 1996.
Our Parish Vision is to express the love of God, to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and to do this in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are committed workers and volunteers that provide ministry, outreach and care to Anglicans and the wider community.
To teach, baptise and nurture new believers;
To respond to human need by loving service;
To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and pursue peace and reconciliation;
To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth;
To worship and celebrate the grace of god;
And to live as one holy catholic and apostolic church.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
