“Jesus told us to love even our enemies and do good to them. Because we have choice, we could choose to spend time only with people who are like us. This year’s invitation, though, is to get to know people who are different to us; people who have different opinions and beliefs, different hopes and dreams, different priorities. Let’s understand better people we might not naturally welcome, and nurture relationships, friendships with them,” says Archbishop Phillip Aspinall
Whether you are just ‘passing through’ or considering making St Margaret's your spiritual home, allow me to tell you something about our special little Church community.
St Margaret’s Anglican Church has a history that goes back as far as the early settlers of Nerang.
You will find a warm and friendly welcome at St Margaret's along with the Gold Coast's best morning tea. We invite you to join us in a celebration of worship, christian fellowship and service. You are most welcome to join us!

Beautiful Scenic Setting
We are at Nerang, in the Gold Coast Hinterland, less than two minutes from the Nerang town center on Beaudesert-Nerang Road. Go past Nerang Fair shopping centre (Coles), through one set of traffic lights and we are on the right side heading towards Beechmont.
God Centered Atmosphere
St Margaret's Anglican Church is located in the Diocese of Southern Queensland, Australia. Experience Church where iconic heritage meets the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Celebrating 143 years in service!
St Margaret's Nerang was host of the first Christian service on the Gold Coast. Join us to learn more about God, humanity, the Bible, Jesus Christ, salvation, the Spirit in the believer’s life and the church.
How can we help you?
St Margaret's Anglican Church is made up of all kinds of people: Grandparents, teenagers, single parents, families, young adults, from different countries and nationalities; newcomers and those that have been part of our church family for decades. We know it can be hard visiting somewhere new, however you will be greeted at the door by our friendly welcomers. Our prayer is that you would feel at home here.
We also enjoy some fellowship over a cuppa after to service on Sunday morning. (reported as the best cuppa on the Coast)
We'd love to meet you! If you have any questions about us or about what Christianity is all about, get in touch.
