8 am Sunday Church Service
The 8 am communion service is now back on our service list
On 7 July 2020, the Anglican Church Southern Queensland received clarification from the Queensland Government that
opting in to the Industry Plan is no longer voluntary for places of worship. From now on, churches may only conduct
worship services and other gatherings by opting in to and complying with the Industry Plan. St Margaret’s is now
complying with the guidelines set out in the Industry Plan which includes signing a Statement of Compliance,
formulating a Industry Safety Plan and displaying a Preparatory Checklist which has to be completed.
• In venues or spaces smaller than 200 square metres: with a maximum of one person per 2 square metres, up to a
total of 50 people.
• This means that 35 worshippers can be accommodated at St Margaret’s
Through this testing time, and through all the risks we face together, teach us once again how we can love one another as you have loved us. Amen.

Sunday: 8am Holy Communion
At St Margaret’s we believe an important part of our worship and ministry is focused on an outreach to the community of Nerang.
The Glory of God is the human person fully alive! Meet the team who bring the services together each week for St Margaret's Nerang.
St Margaret’s Anglican Church has a history that goes back as far as the early settlers of Nerang and remains the oldest Anglican church on the Gold Coast. The original church was nestled on the banks of Nerang river and remained the place of worship until 1992.
Today St Margaret's has moved from the water’s edge and now is situated amongst trees and gardens in a little piece of God’s creation. We have grown in numbers since the move – however we still share the same image of God in humanity as the early Church Fathers: “the Glory of God is the human person fully alive”. As a faith community we are working towards a fully flourishing humanity, alive to beauty, dignity and love.
Join us as we continue our journey growing as a vibrant and committed congregation, reaching out to our community in a number of exciting ways.
